Wade Boggs ate chicken before every game. Babe Ruth stepped on second base on each trip to the dugout between innings.

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena taps into his superstitious side with his cowboy boots.

"I put the boots on before the game, just like I did before the first game of the playoffs last year, and in that playoff game against the Yankees, I hit a home run," Arozarena said through an interpreter after Thursday's shutout victory over the Boston Red Sox, according to Adam Berry of MLB.com. "I hit a home run today, so that just shows that the magic is working from the boots."

The 26-year-old rookie was a one-man wrecking crew in Game 1 of the ALDS, hitting a home run and also successfully stealing home.

Arozarena had a solid regular season - and may win AL Rookie of the Year - but it seems he saves his best for October. He set a postseason record in 2020 when he crushed 10 home runs during the Rays' trip to the World Series.
