Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Roman Quinn was carried off the field by trainers Saturday after injuring his left Achilles tendon while attempting to score against the Tampa Bay Rays in the fifth inning, the team announced.

Quinn fell while rounding third base, then got up and hobbled home for the Phillies' second run of the afternoon.

After he scored, trainers tended to the 28-year-old before carrying him off the field.

Quinn entered Saturday's action hitting .160/.300/.280 for a Phillies club already missing Bryce Harper, Didi Gregorius, and Scott Kingery.
