Twix is more than just the only candy bar with the cookie crunch. Apparently, it also provides a power boost.

Washington Nationals left fielder Kyle Schwarber discovered the magical powers of Twix bars on Monday. Schwarber, who made his first visit to Wrigley Field since leaving the Chicago Cubs in the offseason, was greeted with warm ovations from fans - and a Twix bar in left field courtesy of former teammate Kris Bryant.

Schwarber chowed down on the snack in the outfield, and it obviously worked. In his next at-bat, he launched a home run.

The 28-year-old gave credit to Bryant's gift for the homer, saying it calmed his nerves during what was surely an emotional night at his former home ballpark, according to Paul Sullivan of the Chicago Tribune.

"I might have to eat a Twix tomorrow. ... It was a funny gesture," Schwarber added, according to Meghan Montemurro of The Athletic.
