While fans will likely not be able to attend games in-person for the entirety of the 2020 Major League Baseball season, the Oakland Athletics have devised a different type of experience during the COVID-19 era.

Fans will be able to virtually attend Athletics home games with "Coliseum Cutouts," according to a press release from the team on Tuesday.

Starting at $49, fans can have their likeness placed on a board and put into a seat for the duration of the 2020 season. Fans are encouraged to send in a photo of themselves wearing A's gear for the cutout.

At the $129 price, cutouts will be situated in the "Foul Ball Zone" and, if a ball hits a cutout in that area, "the A's will send a ball to the fan on the cutout."

Proceeds from the tickets will benefit the Alameda County Community Center Food Bank, East Oakland Youth Development Center, and Oakland African American Chamber of Commerce, while fans will also receive two tickets to the team's first home exhibition game in 2021.
