Reds' Bauer: 'I look forward to playing for the Dodgers one day'
Trevor Bauer is thinking of a homecoming of sorts.
The Cincinnati Reds right-hander, who's never shy while voicing his opinions or discussing career plans, sees a future when he'll dress in Dodger blue.
"I look forward to playing for the Dodgers one day," Bauer said Friday during his FaceTiming with Fans YouTube show.
The 29-year-old was born in North Hollywood, grew up in Valencia, and played his college ball at UCLA. His ties to the area run deep.
"I'd love to come home," he added.
Bauer has said previously he intends to sign one-year contracts for the rest of his career, and he'll hit the open market for the first time this offseason. So even if he doesn't wind up with the Dodgers next year, another chance could come later on if he sticks to that plan.
