Ahead of Major League Baseball's free-agent signing period, 10 free agents were extended qualifying offers by their 2019 teams at Monday's 5 p.m. ET deadline.

The qualifying offer is set at $17.8 million, and if a player accepts, they'd receive the salary in the form of a one-year contract. If they decline, they'd become free agents. Teams that have their qualifying offers declined will receive draft-pick compensation if the player signs with a new club before the 2020 MLB Draft in June.

Here's a breakdown of players around the league who received a qualifying offer before Monday's deadline:

Player Position 2019 team
Jose Abreu 1B/DH White Sox
Madison Bumgarner SP Giants
Gerrit Cole SP Astros
Josh Donaldson 3B Braves
Jake Odorizzi SP Twins
Marcell Ozuna OF Cardinals
Anthony Rendon 3B Nationals
Will Smith RP Giants
Stephen Strasburg SP Nationals
Zack Wheeler SP Mets

The 10 players have until Nov. 14 to accept or decline.
