Gleyber Torres owns the Baltimore Orioles.

The New York Yankees infielder continued to rake against Baltimore during Monday's doubleheader, making some history in the process.

Torres launched three home runs over the two games, giving him 26 on the season - 13 of which have come against the Orioles.

Two of his three homers on Monday were hit during the nightcap, and the second led to a hilarious and exasperated call from Orioles announcer Gary Thorne:

Torres' second homer of the evening broke a tie with Sammy Sosa (1998) for the most single-season dingers against one team in the divisional era, which began in 1969.

Later, the Orioles intentionally walked Torres in the eighth inning to load the bases with New York ahead 11-6. Torres didn't come around to score, but Baltimore still lost 11-8.

"We're making him look like a first-ballot Hall of Famer," Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said postgame, according to MLB.com's David Alder.

Torres needs just one more homer to tie the all-time record for single-season home runs against one team. Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig set that mark in 1936 against the Cleveland Indians, according to Sarah Langs of MLB.com.

Torres has now recorded five multi-homer games against the Orioles this season, the most in a single campaign versus one team in MLB history, according to Katie Sharp of the Talkin' Yanks podcast. Overall, he's notched six multi-homer games this year, making him the youngest player in American League history to accomplish that feat.

Monday's game also marked the second time this season that Torres has homered during both ends of a doubleheader against the Orioles (May 15 was the first time). He's the first player to do that in one season since the Phillies' Mike Schmidt recorded a pair of multi-homer doubleheaders against the Montreal Expos in 1983, according to Stats By Stats.

Fortunately for the Orioles, Torres won't torment them much longer in 2019, as Baltimore ends its season series against the Yankees on Wednesday.

Torres is now hitting .283/.349/.524 this season.
