Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association have announced that the New York Mets and Miami Marlins will play a three-game series at Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico from April 28-30, 2020, according to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com.

The Marlins will act as the home team.

The 2020 iteration of the Puerto Rico Series will be a rematch one decade in the making, as the two clubs faced off against one another at the historic ballpark back in June 2010. The Marlins took two of three from the Mets.

MLB most recently went to San Juan for a two-game series between the Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Indians back in 2018 but took 2019 off.

Edwin Diaz and Seth Lugo - who'll use the nickname 'Quarterrican' during Players' Weekend but was born in Shreveport, La., - are the most notable Puerto Rican players on the Mets' roster, while infielder Isan Diaz is the lone Puerto Rican on the Marlins.
