Martin Perez is king of the triple play.

The Minnesota Twins turned their second triple play of the season Wednesday in spectacular fashion. With the bases loaded in the third inning, Perez got Atlanta Braves catcher Tyler Flowers to ground into the 5-4-3 trifecta featuring defensive plays from Miguel Sano at third, Jonathan Schoop at second, and C.J. Cron at first.

Back on July 22, the Twins turned their first triple play of the season - also of the 5-4-3 variety - and, incredibly, it also happened with Perez on the mound. He's the first American League pitcher to induce multiple triple plays in one season since Mark Buehrle did it for the White Sox in 2006, according to MLB Stats.

For the Twins, Wednesday's triple play was their 14th since moving to Minnesota in 1961 (and 34th overall when including the Washington Senators), according to SABR's Triple Play Database. It's the first time the Twins have turned multiple triple plays in the same season since they did it twice in the same game in 1990.
