The Philadelphia Phillies have shown interest in acquiring right-hander Marcus Stroman from the Toronto Blue Jays, reports Jon Morosi of MLB.com.

Philadelphia added left-hander Drew Smyly on Friday but is still expected to pursue a starter for the front end of its rotation.

Stroman, who made his first All-Star team this season, has a 3.25 ERA over 110 2/3 innings with Toronto. The 28-year-old will be arbitration-eligible for the final time after this campaign.

The Phillies have been reportedly linked to most of the top available pitchers ahead of the trade deadline, including Madison Bumgarner, Matthew Boyd, and Mike Minor.

Stroman is scheduled to start Friday night against the Detroit Tigers and could make two more appearances for the Blue Jays before the July 31 deadline.
