Manny Machado is expected to make a decision on where he'll sign within a week and momentum is building for the Chicago White Sox, sources told Bruce Levine of 670 The Score.

The White Sox, New York Yankees, and Philadelphia Phillies are the three known teams involved in a bidding war for the 26-year-old free agent, but there may be an unknown club in the mix, sources told Levine.

All three of the aforementioned teams have made offers to Machado, with the White Sox not expected to extend one for more than seven years at a top-market price. As far as the value of the contract, it's unknown, but it is believed Machado could receive between $25-$28 million annually, Levine adds.

He and his wife reportedly prefer the Yankees, but the White Sox have added his brother-in-law Yonder Alonso and friend Jon Jay in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, the Phillies are prepared to spend and have already committed $73 million to Andrew McCutchen and David Robertson this offseason.

Machado is coming off an All-Star campaign where he hit .297/.367/.538 with 37 home runs and 107 RBIs in 162 games.
