The notorious Los Angeles traffic may have met its match.

The Boring Company - one of Elon Musk's businesses, who also acts as chairman and CEO of Tesla, Inc. - announced plans to build a 3.6-mile tunnel that would go from Los Feliz, East Hollywood to Dodger Stadium.

The project, known as the Dugout Loop (or, simply, "The Dugout"), would include zero emission, high-speed transportation, and be completely underground. The company claims a one-way trip through the Dugout Loop would take under four minutes.

While the fares aren't finalized, The Boring Company's FAQ on the topic states that a trip will cost "around $1." At maximum capacity, it would be able to transport roughly 2,800 people per game or event - or five percent of a Los Angeles Dodgers game at maximum occupancy.

The process of planning could still take one year, but once construction begins, the whole thing is expected to be completed within 14 months.
