Months of speculation as to where Manny Machado will end up could soon be resolved.

The Baltimore Orioles are "very close" to a trade involving the shortstop, though he won't be dealt prior to Tuesday's All-Star Game, sources told Jon Heyman of Fancred.

The Philadelphia Phillies, Milwaukee Brewers, and Los Angeles Dodgers are reportedly still in discussions with the Orioles, while the New York Yankees won't be the team to land him.

According to another report from Jon Morosi of MLB Network, the Phillies were emerging as the most likely landing spot for Machado, due to their willingness to include pitching prospect Adonis Medina. The 21-year-old right-hander is the No. 2 prospect in Philadelphia's system and the No. 73 prospect in all of baseball, per MLB Pipeline.

New York reportedly made a strong offer last week, but would not include top pitching prospect Justus Sheffield. The Yankees now figure to be more focused on acquiring starting pitching.

Prior to the Home Run Derby on Monday, Machado spoke to reporters and said he's eager to find out where he will be traded.

Machado is hitting .315/.387/.575 with 24 home runs and 21 doubles in 96 games this season.
