The Miami Marlins will not be alone in honoring victims of last week's school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

All 30 teams will pay tribute to the victims of the Feb. 14 shooting by wearing Stoneman Douglas hats during their spring training openers, MLB announced.

"It's a tragedy. It was a tragedy that hit the state of Florida, where we have two teams, but obviously has very specific baseball connections," commissioner Rob Manfred said Tuesday, according to MLB.com's David Adler. "Really a very strong sentiment among the clubs that this was the appropriate thing to do immediately."

Following the games - most of which are scheduled for Friday - all of the hats will be auctioned off with proceeds going to the Stoneman Douglas Victims' Fund.

New Era, the league's official hat supplier, has already begun producing special Stoneman Douglas baseball hats, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reported earlier Tuesday.

The Marlins, who play their home games an hour south of the Parkland, Fla., high school, became the first team to pay tribute to the victims when they announced plans to wear Stoneman Douglas hats during practice ahead of their game Friday. They had initially only planned to wear them before the game due to league-wide uniform regulations.

In addition to the hats, Spencer reports that the Marlins will also wear special shirts during batting practice on Friday that will bear the hashtag #17douglasstrong.

Seventeen people were killed during the shooting at Stoneman Douglas. A 19-year-old alleged gunman is in custody.
