The Baltimore Orioles, a team in dire need of some starting pitchers, are interested in right-hander Tyler Chatwood, according to a source of Jon Morosi of MLB.com.

In addition to Chatwood, the Orioles have expressed interest in right-hander Andrew Cashner and left-hander Jason Vargas.

With Chris Tillman, Ubaldo Jimenez, and Wade Miley all in search of new deals, the Orioles looking for replacements makes sense, especially when factoring in the struggles of their starting rotation in 2017 - a group that combined to a 4.97 ERA (4.96 FIP) and 1.51 HR/9.

Chatwood, the former Colorado Rockies starter, is one of the most intriguing available arms because of his career 3.31 ERA away from Coors Field. He also saw an uptick in velocity in 2017, particularly on his fastball, which averaged 95.3 mph compared to 93.5 the year prior.

The Toronto Blue Jays have also expressed interest in Chatwood. He earned $4.4 million this past year.
