George Steinbrenner the character proved far more funny than when the real-life George Steinbrenner appeared on "Seinfeld."
Appearing on "The Rich Eisen Show" on Wednesday, Jerry Seinfeld recalled how "terrible" the late New York Yankees owner's cameo was - so bad that it was edited out.
Larry David, who normally voiced Steinbrenner on the show, was tasked with delivering the news.
"He wasn't funny," Seinfeld said. "I don't remember exactly what went wrong with it, but it was quite an awkward situation."
