Yankees activate Clint Frazier after month-long stint on DL

Adam Hunger / USA TODAY Sports

The New York Yankees are getting a boost for the final stretch of the season.

Outfielder Clint Frazier, who has been sidelined since Aug. 8 with a left oblique strain, was activated Monday from the disabled list, the Yankees announced.

Frazier made his major-league debut this season on July 1 against the Houston Astros and made an immediate impact, slamming a home run in his first game. After bursting onto the scene, Frazier cooled down considerably, slashing .243/.274/.477 with four home runs in 111 at-bats before his injury.

The 23-year-old Frazier is the Yankees' No. 2 prospect, and the 24th overall- rated prospect in the majors, according to MLB Pipeline.
