White Sox 'still open for business' after 7-player swap with Yankees

Not even the newest members of the Chicago White Sox could be on the team much longer.

After dealing third baseman Todd Frazier plus relievers David Robertson and Tommy Kahnle to the New York Yankees on Tuesday as part of a seven-player blockbuster, White Sox general manager Rick Hahn isn't afraid to send out any more of his stars before the impending trade deadline at the end of the month.

"We are still open for business," Hahn told the Chicago Sun-Times' Daryl Van Schouwen. "We're starting to get a little younger in that clubhouse. A few guys are starting to get opportunities over the next few weeks and months. It will be interesting to see.

"If we don't do anything over the next couple weeks we'll have a better assessment of where we are heading into the offseason, perhaps set some things up for them."

According to USA TODAY Sports' Bob Nightengale, Hahn is still willing to deal from a list of players that include - but may not be limited to - outfielder Melky Cabrera, breakout star Avisail Garcia, and reliever Derek Holland. Hahn is also ready to flip reliever Tyler Clippard, one of the four players the White Sox acquired from New York.

The multi-player deal with the Yankees was another step taken by Chicago toward their goal of getting younger through a rebuild. Immediately following their trade with the Bronx Bombers, the White Sox also called up top prospect Yoan Moncada from Triple-A.
