Oddsmakers give Tebow 15/1 shot of reaching the big leagues

Apparently oddsmakers don't think the idea of Tim Tebow reaching the big leagues is too far-fetched.

After the New York Mets promoted the former NFL quarterback from Low-A Columbia to High-A St. Lucie over the weekend, Bovada released betting odds on just how far Tebow could progress within the organization and his odds of making it to the majors aren't too bad.

QUESTION YES NO
Will Tebow receive PA in Double-A? +400(4/1) -600(1/6)
Will Tebow receive PA in Triple-A? +1000(10/1) -2500(1/25)
Will Tebow receive PA in MLB? +1500(15/1) -5000(1/50)

The idea of Tebow playing in the majors isn't too outrageous either.

If the Mets - who are already 10 1/2 games out of first place in the National League East - continue to have a down year, the organization may consider promoting Tebow to increase ticket sales and draw attention away from their performance on the field.

Tebow hit just .220/.311/.336 with three home runs and 23 RBIs for Columbia before receiving his promotion.
