Barcelona haven't secured the signing of Matthijs de Ligt just yet.

Reports emerged last month that the Catalan side were on the verge of clinching an €80-million deal for the in-demand Ajax captain, but club sources have now told Moises Llorens and Sam Marsden of ESPN FC that Mino Raiola, the teenager's agent, is stalling proceedings.

Raiola is no longer satisfied with the terms that were previously discussed now that an impressive run has Ajax on the brink of the Champions League final, Llorens and Marsden report.

Barcelona initially offered De Ligt a reported five-year contract that would see his wages increase each season. The deal was apparently laced with incentives that could significantly increase the 19-year-old's earnings.

Raiola, however, could look to weaponize the reported interest of Bayern Munich, Juventus, and Manchester United in a bid to force Barca to improve their offer. The agent refused to comment on the ongoing negotiations when contacted by ESPN FC.

Keeping their already-bloated wage bill in mind, Barcelona "will not go crazy" in trying to satisfy any new contract demands from the infamous agent, a club source told Llorens and Marsden.

Barca and Ajax, who already brokered a deal for Frenkie de Jong earlier this year, are on a collision course for the Champions League final after wins in their respective first-leg semifinal ties.
