Mbappe suffers apparent shoulder injury with France
Paris Saint-Germain's imminent return to domestic action was dealt another blow on Tuesday.
France star Kylian Mbappe's international friendly appearance against Uruguay lasted just over a half-hour before the World Cup winner landed awkwardly on his right shoulder following a collision with La Celeste 'keeper Martin Campana.
The 19-year-old Mbappe immediately writhed in pain and was attended to by team medics before briefly returning to action while signaling for a change. The reigning Golden Boy winner was quickly replaced by Marseille star Florian Thauvin.
It was the second injury to strike a key PSG player on Tuesday, as Neymar limped off with an apparent groin issue just eight minutes into Brazil's friendly with Cameroon.
The ailments could potentially prove damning for PSG's Champions League hopes, as the club is set for a pivotal visit from Liverpool next Wednesday after a Ligue 1 clash with Toulouse this weekend.
