All signs point to David De Gea signing an extension with Manchester United.

The Spanish goalkeeper is in favor of signing a long-term deal to stay at Old Trafford despite being linked with potential transfers to Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, according to Mark Ogden of ESPN FC.

It's understood De Gea isn't convinced there's an advantage to leaving United and the 28-year-old is open to signing a new contract worth up to £350,000 a week.

Although he was intrigued in the past by a move back to Spain - where his career took off with Atletico Madrid before his £18.3-million transfer to United in 2011 - De Gea has reportedly accepted that there are limited opportunities with Real Madrid and Barcelona. Ateltico Madrid also doesn't appear to be an option thanks to Jan Oblak's evolvement into one of the top goalkeepers in the world.

Although Juventus have shown interest, Ogden reports the Italian side will struggle to meet United's valuation, while PSG appear content to move forward with Alphonse Areola after signing the 25-year-old to a five-year contract extension Thursday.

However, United still have to convince De Gea they are an ambitious club, considering the team's poor start to the campaign has limited their chances of qualifying for the Champions League next season.

United triggered the one-year option on De Gea's current deal last month to keep him at the club until 2020, ending speculation over a possible exit next summer on a free transfer.
