Dani Alves lauds Guardiola's coaching as 'better than sex'; Pep prefers sex

Paris Saint-Germain defender Dani Alves offered a unique view when asked what it's like to be coached by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

The pair spent four years together during Barcelona's dominating spell with Guardiola at the helm - winning a trio of La Liga titles, a pair of Champions Leagues, and several other trophies.

In the documentary "Take The Ball. Pass The Ball," which explores Guardiola's time in charge of Barcelona, Alves was full of praise for the 47-year-old, going as far as to say that being coached by him is "better than sex."

Speaking ahead of Sunday's derby against Manchester United, Guardiola admitted that doesn't share the same view:

Alves spurned an opportunity to reunite with Guardiola at City when he joined PSG from Juventus in January 2017.

"It was all done to go to Manchester City but it didn't happen because of a family decision," Alves said. "Pep knew my intentions. I spoke with him, he knew my intention to work with him and his staff again. He knows the gigantic respect I have for them, which is why I wanted to work with him again until something else came up."
