Team USA has secured some much-needed reinforcements.

USA Basketball reportedly added Boston Celtics swingman Jaylen Brown and New York Knicks forward Julius Randle to its training camp roster ahead of the FIBA World Cup, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Brown and Randle were reported on Monday to be on a shortlist of potential replacements. Also included were Mike Conley, Marcus Smart, Josh Richardson, Aaron Gordon, D'Angelo Russell, and Thaddeus Young.

The apparent additions came minutes before it was reported that Damian Lillard and DeMar DeRozan joined a growing contingent of stars who have withdrawn from World Cup consideration.

Brown, 22, will be one of four Celtics at the August training camp. He'll join new teammate Kemba Walker, who is expected to honor his commitment to USA Basketball this summer, according to The New York Times' Marc Stein as well as Smart, and Jayson Tatum.

Randle is currently the only member of the Knicks slated to attend the camp in Las Vegas. The 24-year-old signed with New York as a free agent earlier in July.
