Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal won't suit up for Team USA at the FIBA World Cup due to the impending birth of his child, his agent, Mark Bartelstein, told ESPN's Brian Windhorst.

Beal's child is expected between late August and early September, according to Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes. Team USA's camp is slated for Aug. 5-9 in Las Vegas. The Americans are scheduled to open their tournament on Sept. 1 against the Czech Republic.

His withdrawal means the United States is now down to just four guards at its upcoming camp: Donovan Mitchell, Damian Lillard, Kemba Walker, and Kyle Lowry, who recently underwent a procedure to repair a left thumb tendon. Eric Gordon, James Harden, and CJ McCollum are other guards who have dropped out, while forward Anthony Davis also won't play.

The U.S. will announce its final 12-man roster on Aug. 17.
