Malcom has reportedly grown frustrated at Barcelona and is ready to leave after just one season in the Catalan capital.

It's understood that the Brazil international will try to engineer a move away from the Camp Nou this summer and that Barcelona will allow his departure if they can recoup the money they paid to sign him last year, according to Sam Marsden and Moises Llorens of ESPN FC.

Since joining Barcelona from Bordeaux for €40 million last summer, Malcom has struggled for opportunities under manager Ernesto Valverde. He's made just 19 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals.

Valverde suggested that signing Malcom was a move spearheaded by club officials, as Barcelona beat Roma with a late bid to sign the 21-year-old in July.

Despite his sporadic opportunities, there could be plenty of interest in his services if the likes of Roma, Inter, and AC Milan renew their interest in Malcom, Marsden and Llorens suggest.

While a move to China is also a possibility, Marsden and Llorens note that Premier League clubs such as Everton, Tottenham, and Arsenal have previously been linked with the winger.

Malcom was one of Europe's most coveted players during the 2018 summer transfer window after a breakout season at Bordeaux in which he found the back of the net 12 times and provided seven assists in 35 league appearances.
