Cristiano Ronaldo's Champions League debut with Juventus ended in tears.
The club's marquee summer signing was sent off after a coming-together with Valencia center-back Jeison Murillo in the first half of Wednesday's Champions League clash at the Mestalla.
Match official Felix Brych made the decision to red-card Ronaldo following consultation with the fourth official.
The 33-year-old appeared to knock Murillo off balance before briefly grabbing the Colombian's hair.
Ronaldo risks a two-match ban if he's charged with violent conduct. That would leave the Portuguese international out of next month's visit to Old Trafford to face former side Manchester United.
