U.S. captain Steve Stricker had some high praise for his Ryder Cup squad following their dominant victory over Europe on Sunday.

"This is the greatest team of all time, right here," Stricker said following the win, per Josh Berhow of GOLF.com.

The U.S. carried an 11-5 advantage into Sunday's singles session and didn't relent, finishing the tournament with an emphatic 19-9 edge. It's the American's third win over the last 10 runnings of the biennial event and the largest margin of victory in the modern era of the tournament.

"From Day 1, it was about out-preparing," Stricker said. "Just getting these guys here, getting them on the same page. This is a new era of USA golf. They are young, they come with a lot of passion, a lot of energy, a lot of game, and they are just so good."

The Americans were the heavy favorites heading into the event, carrying nine of the world's top-11 players on their roster. They've had similar advantages on paper in recent showings but never matched the camaraderie of the Europeans.

The U.S. had six Ryder Cup rookies on the team, and Jordan Spieth, one of the more experienced Americans, said this year's dominance at Whistling Straits is a sign of things to come.

"I think this is unfinished business. It's one thing to win it here, it's a lot easier to do so. If we play like we did this week, the score will look the same over there. And that's what we're here for," Spieth said, per Kyle Porter of CBS.

The Ryder Cup heads to Rome in 2023.
