William Saliba has lost his race to feature in a part of Arsenal's title run-in and will be joined by Oleksandr Zinchenko in the treatment room for the club's final three matches, according to The Athletic's David Ornstein.

Mikel Arteta was "very hopeful" Saliba would be available before the end of the season after he suffered a back injury during Arsenal's Europa League last-16 exit to Sporting CP in March. However, the manager's confidence waned when he discussed the issue in April, and the influential center-back is now reportedly out of contention for the team's Premier League meetings with Brighton & Hove Albion, Nottingham Forest, and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Zinchenko picked up a calf problem during Sunday's 2-0 victory at Newcastle United.

Saliba and Zinchenko won't require surgery on their respective injuries, Ornstein adds.

Kieran Tierney is the natural choice to play at left-back with Zinchenko sidelined, while the central defensive duo in Saliba's absence is expected to be Gabriel and Jakub Kiwior. The latter was preferred to Rob Holding for Arsenal's wins over Chelsea and Newcastle.
