Derby County kept their hopes of playing top-flight football next season alive after overturning a first-leg deficit Wednesday at Elland Road to beat Leeds United 4-3 on aggregate and advance to the Championship playoff final.

Frank Lampard's men will take on Aston Villa at Wembley Stadium on May 27 for a chance to return to the Premier League for the first time since 2008.

Leeds appeared to have put things out of reach for Derby after Stuart Dallas broke a scoreless deadlock around the midway point of the first half to double the host's aggregate lead.

However, Derby notched goals at the end of the first half and just after the break to erase the deficit. Harry Wilson then gave the visitors the aggregate lead after converting from the penalty spot at the 58-minute mark.

Dallas' second goal of the contest tied the aggregate score and gave the home fans hope before Jack Marriott ultimately ended Leeds' season with his 85th-minute strike to secure Derby's spot in the final.
