Liverpool star Mohamed Salah was stretchered off in the second half of Saturday's crucial Premier League clash against Newcastle.

Salah tumbled to the pitch following an aerial collision with Magpies 'keeper Martin Dubravka.

The Egyptian talisman laid motionless before clutching his face while receiving treatment from medics. Salah was promptly taken off for Divock Origi.

Liverpool could now be without Salah and fellow attacker Roberto Firmino for Tuesday's Champions League semifinal visit from Barcelona. The Reds face a momentous task after the Catalan club stormed to a 3-0 victory in the first leg.

Liverpool entered Saturday's match at St. James' Park needing a victory to keep pace with table-toppers Manchester City.

Jurgen Klopp's charges got exactly that in the 86th minute when Xherdan Shaqiri's free-kick found a leaping Divock Origi, who directed the ball toward goal with a little help from Jamaal Lascelles to cement a famous 3-2 win.
