If the opening minutes are any indication, the remainder of Wednesday's semifinal encounter between Tottenham and Manchester City could be wild.

The Premier League rivals apparently ditched their defensive tactics in favor of an all-out attacking approach, as Spurs and City scored five times in the opening 21 minutes at the Etihad.

Raheem Sterling kicked off the scoring with a sublime strike in the fourth minute to bring City level on aggregate at 1-1:

Tottenham forward Heung-Min Son silenced the home crowd three minutes later when he capitalized on Aymeric Laporte's defensive gaffe:

Son then gave the visitors the lead in the 11th minute after yet another mistake by Laporte:

Bernardo Silva brought City level courtesy of a massive deflection that fooled Hugo Lloris.

Sterling put City in front yet again when he got on the end of Kevin De Bruyne's low drive across Tottenham's box:

And breathe.
