Martavis Bryant isn't currently allowed to play in the NFL, so the wide receiver is returning to the field elsewhere: the CFL.

The former Pittsburgh Steelers wideout has signed with the Toronto Argonauts, the team announced Monday.

Bryant is currently suspended in the NFL, but he's eligible to play in Canada.

The NFL conditionally reinstated the 29-year-old in 2017 after he missed the 2016 season for violating the league's substance abuse policy. But he was then suspended indefinitely for violating the terms of his reinstatement.

Bryant applied for reinstatement again in 2019.

The 2014 fourth-round pick out of Clemson racked up 126 receptions for 1,917 yards and 17 touchdowns over 36 regular-season appearances in three seasons with the Steeles from 2014 to 2017.

He was traded to the then-Oakland Raiders in 2018 and amassed 266 yards on 19 catches through eight games before being suspended.
