BC Lions quarterback Mike Reilly suffered a broken wrist Saturday versus the Edmonton Eskimos, according to TSN's Ryan Rishaug.

Reilly was hurt on a first-quarter hit by defensive end Kwaku Boateng.

As the veteran passer left the field, TSN microphones captured him saying, "I think it's broken." The Lions announced he wouldn't return to the game.

Backup Danny O'Brien took over for Reilly.

The 34-year-old Reilly had started every game so far this season after signing a four-year, $2.9-million contract with the Lions in free agency - a deal that made him the CFL's highest-paid player.
