The 2018 Canadian Football Hall of Fame class was announced on Wednesday, inducting former CFL players Scott Flory, Tommy Hugo, Hank Ilesic, Brent Johnson, and Barron Miles, along with builder Frank Cosentino, and amateur player Paul Brule.

The announcement was made at Investor Group Field in Winnipeg on Wednesday with CFL commissioner Randy Ambrosie in attendance.

Cosentino, inducted as a builder, topped his 10-year playing career in the CFL by winning multiple Vanier Cups as a coach at Western and helped build York University into a contender.

The only former player not inducted to the Hall as the result of his CFL achievements, Brule, dominated as a fullback for St. Francis Xavier in the 1960's, setting multiple touchdown records.

Flory spent 15 years with the Montreal Alouettes from 1999-13 as an offensive lineman, winning three Grey Cups, multiple individual awards, and making nine All-Star teams.

Miles spent time with the Alouettes (1998-04) and BC Lions (2005-09) as a defensive back, retiring as the second all-time leader in interceptions (66) and with the record for blocked kicks (13), owning two Grey Cup titles and six All-Star appearances.

Hugo played on both sides of the ball in the 1950's as a center and linebacker while playing for the Alouettes in the Interprovincial Rugby Football Union, which eventually became the CFL East. He passed away at age 74 in 2004.

Ilesic joined the Edmonton Eskimos as a punter at age 17 in 1977 and went on to become a seven-time Grey Cup winner and eight-time All-Star while setting multiple punting records. He is the second punter to be inducted into the Hall.

Johnson was one of Canada's best defensive ends on the NCAA scene at Ohio State in the late 1990's, going on to play 11 seasons with the Lions where he led the CFL in sacks twice. He retired with the most sacks by a Canadian in league history after winning two Grey Cups and the Most Outstanding Canadian award twice.
