Tiger-Cats trade Simmons to Alouettes for Davis

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have traded offensive lineman Brian Simmons to the Montreal Alouettes for defensive back Ethan Davis, the teams announced Thursday.
"Brian brings a lot of experience with him to Montreal and we foresee that he will be able to keep performing at a high level," Alouettes general manager Kavis Reed said. "His size and his capacity to play different positions on the offensive line are important assets for us."
Simmons, a 31-year-old veteran, has made 71 career starts in the CFL, all with the Ticats.
Davis was a rookie in 2016, posting 41 tackles in 11 games.
