Report: Everton, Leicester make approaches for Leipzig's Augustin
Premier League sides Everton and Leicester City have both made informal inquiries about RB Leipzig striker Jean-Kevin Augustin, according to the Telegraph's Jason Burt.
It's expected that the French youth international would warrant a transfer fee in the neighborhood of a modest £17.5 million, Burt added.
Augustin, 21, was linked with a move to the Premier League in January. The Paris Saint-Germain academy product could now be set to leave Leipzig following the DFB-Pokal final versus Bayern Munich on May 25.
With the expectation that forward Cenk Tosun is looking for a summer move abroad, Everton are reportedly interested in adding a striker to Marco Silva's squad to compete with Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Similarly, Leicester are seeking support for 18-goal man Jamie Vardy following an underwhelming campaign by backup forward Kelechi Iheanacho.
Augustin made just three Bundesliga starts for Leipzig this season to pair with 13 appearances off the bench - a stark decline from last year's return of nine goals in 25 league outings.
