Floyd Mayweather's next exhibition boxing match is set.

The boxing great will square off with mixed martial artist Mikuru Asakura at a Rizin FF event in Japan sometime in September, the promotion announced Monday. Full event details, including the rules, will be announced in late June.

Rizin FF is a Japan-based MMA promotion with which Mayweather has worked in the past.

Mayweather has participated in three exhibitions since retiring from pro boxing in 2017.

Most recently, he dominated Don Moore in May in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on a card he shared with former UFC champion Anderson Silva.

Mayweather's most notable exhibition bout came against YouTuber Logan Paul in June 2021. Before that, he knocked out kickboxing phenom Tenshin Nasukawa in a fight that also took place under the Rizin FF banner.

The 45-year-old, widely considered one of the greatest boxers of his generation, walked away from pro boxing at 50-0 following a knockout win over UFC star Conor McGregor.

Mayweather was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame this past weekend.
