George Kambosos Jr. shocked the boxing world Saturday, stunning Teofimo "The Takeover" Lopez by split decision to capture the WBO, WBA, and IBF lightweight titles at the Hulu Theatre at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The judges scored the fight 115-111, 113-114, 115-112 in favor of the Australian boxer, who came into the title fight as a massive 13-1 underdog.

Lopez disagreed with the decision and interrupted Kambosos during a postfight interview to say he won ten of 12 rounds.

"You're delusional, brother," Kambosos responded before offering Lopez a rematch in Australia.

The long-awaited bout, which was nine months in the making due to several date and venue changes, ended up being an intense, all-out brawl. Each fighter scored a knockdown, and both were badly cut.

Kambosos stunned Lopez in the first round with an overhand right for his knockdown. Lopez dropped Kambosos in the 10th with a hard right of his own.

Kambosos used stiff jabs, overhand rights, and sharp left hooks to the body throughout the fight to amass points, while Lopez tried to catch his opponent with big shots in front of his hometown audience.

The 28-year-old Kambosos remains undefeated at 20-0 after Saturday's win. Lopez's record now moves to 16-1.
