Former six-division world champion Oscar De La Hoya believes he can step back in the ring in 2021.

"I'm 90% positive that I'm coming back the first quarter of next year," the 47-year-old said, according to Andreas Hale of DAZN.

De La Hoya, who hasn't fought in almost 12 years, will take the results of Saturday's Mike Tyson-Roy Jones Jr. bout into consideration before making a final decision about his comeback.

"The 10% is based on how Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. look in their upcoming fight," De La Hoya said. "We're almost the same age. Although I'm younger, our bodies have been through the same strain with workouts and training."

If he decides to return, the fighter-turned-promoter has his sights set on middleweight world champion Gennadiy Golovkin.

"You know how easy GGG would be for me? Oh, my gosh," De La Hoya said, according to Dan Rafael of BoxingScene.com. "It would be a high-profile fight, that's for sure."

Golovkin, 38, is scheduled to meet Kamil Szeremeta in a IBF middleweight title fight on Dec. 18.
