After beating Robin Haase on Wednesday in the quarterfinals of the 2018 ABN AMRO tournament in the Netherlands, Roger Federer assured himself of the No. 1 ranking in the ATP, becoming the oldest player ever to claim the top spot.

At 36 years and 195 days old, Federer took over the record previously set by Andre Agassi, who was 33 when he was last No. 1 in 2003.

Federer was last ranked No. 1 on Oct. 29, 2012.
