Jay Cutler may not have any injury obstacles when it comes to finding a new home in the coming weeks.

The Chicago Bears quarterback, who underwent shoulder surgery in early December, is expected to be able to pass a physical by March, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

Whether it's by way of a trade or an outright release, Cutler is widely expected to be playing elsewhere sooner rather than later. Being healthy at the beginning of free agency will help along any such deal and effectively streamline his inevitable exit from Chicago.

Having qualified for the playoffs just once in his eight seasons under center, the blockbuster trade acquisition of Cutler certainly didn't turn out as expected for Chicago. But there's still plenty of reason to believe that the 33-year-old can provide value as a starter for another team moving forward.

Cutler had put together one of the most efficient seasons of his career prior to the injury-riddled 2016 campaign, completing 64.4 percent of his passes for 3,659 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions across 15 starts.
