Bulls' Hoiberg: Isaiah Thomas carried 'on every possession' in Game 4

Fred Hoiberg will likely find his wallet a little lighter in the coming days.

The Bulls bench boss was less than impressed with the officiating in Sunday's Game 4, suggesting the referees missed carrying violations on Isaiah Thomas every time the Celtics guard dribbled the ball.

"Isaiah Thomas is a hell of a player, an unbelievable competitor, he's a warrior, everything he's going through right now," Hoiberg told reporters following the loss. "He had a hell of a game tonight. But when you're allowed to discontinue your dribble on every possession, he is impossible to guard. He's impossible to guard. When you're able to put your hand underneath the ball and take two or three steps, and put it back down, it's impossible to guard him in those situations."

Thomas appeared unfazed after learning of Hoiberg's comments, believing there's another reason why the Bulls have struggled to contain him this series.

"That's not why I'm an impossible cover," Thomas told Jay King of MassLive.com.

Whether it was due to a series of missed calls or not, Thomas was terrific for the Celtics on Sunday, collecting 33 points, seven rebounds, and four assists in the 104-95 Boston win.
