NBA players can stir trade speculation with one emoji

Almost nothing gets Twitter more excited than NBA trade season, when each bit of trade speculation adds another log to the fire - and now even the players themselves have joined in.

This simple tweet from Isaiah Thomas on Monday night spawned widespread panic and speculation as to what moves the Boston Celtics might pull off.

Andre Drummond of the Detroit Pistons created a similar effect when he followed suit.

What were these players hinting at? Most likely nothing. But even just a simple eyes emoji had Celtics assistant GM Mike Zarren's phone buzzing.
