Watch: Pujols demolishes moonshot for 593rd career HR

Erik Williams / USA TODAY Sports

Albert Pujols is seven home runs away from a very exclusive club.

The Los Angeles Angels slugger unleashed a ridiculous three-run blast in the fifth inning Tuesday against the Houston Astros for the 593rd home run of his storied career, leaving no doubt about the fate of Joe Musgrove's 91-mph offering.

Assuming Pujols continues to destroy baseballs, he'll be just the ninth player in MLB history to hit at least 600 career home runs. He's also on pace to pass Sammy Sosa's mark of 609 home runs sometime this season.
