Watch: Gurriel crushes 1st 2017 HR onto Minute Maid Park train tracks

Erik Williams / USA TODAY Sports

Yulieski Gurriel is literally getting everyone on the hype train.

The Houston Astros first baseman launched his first home run of the young 2017 season Tuesday against the Los Angeles Angels, impressively clobbering a third-inning longball off starter Ricky Nolasco onto the train tracks at Minute Maid Park.

Gurriel, who hit three home runs in 46 games with the Astros in 2016 after signing as an international free agent, still has his rookie status intact through 2017.
